ORGAN
A pipe organ (believed to be one of the best organs in the district) was installed at the bottom of the tower in 1896 by a firm of organ-builders by the name of Monk. The organ, which was two-manual with 23 stops, was the gift of a former rector, the Rev Clementi-Smith at a cost of about £700. However whilst being dismantled for re-siting within the church during the second half of the last century, it was found that the restoration work required would not be economical and therefore the work did not proceed.
A small electric organ provided music for many years, until the current organ, a Johannus, was purchased in 2000. This can digitally reproduce many voices including that of a cathedral organ. The manual is sited on the North wall of the chancel with the speakers positioned in the corners of the East wall.
